EXHIBITIONS

Solo Show "TISSUS URBAINS" by POPAY, from October 8 to 11, 4 rue Pastourelle 75003.

Juan Pablo de Ayguavives, aka POPAY, takes over the walls of the Causette space for his solo show, in collaboration with NIGHTIME GALLERY.
The exhibition "URBAN FABRICS" was originally scheduled as an off-show of the Urban Art Fair, which was postponed and then cancelled due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19.

The exhibition presents POPAY's most recent works, realized on large format canvases, transposing the compositions and motifs that usually cover his monumental walls.
The city and its architecture, its buildings and entangled streets, crossed by rivers and multicolored bridges, is the main theme of this series.
As a builder of the urban fabric, the artist develops an increasingly minimal and stylized graphic style, marking a turning point in his prolific work.
Plans seen from the sky, cities and landscapes cut into mosaics and colored prisms, are worked in flat areas with aerosol, with gradients and subtle effects.
POPAY delivers for this exhibition, magnificent formats, with rhythmic compositions, and a bright chromatic palette.
