PAUL SEGARD

Paul Ségard grew up in the 90s in Normandy, he tried his hand at graffiti from 2005, he met some local artists, but was very quickly attracted to the Kapitale, passionate about drawing, his studies followed the same path and moved towards higher artistic studies.

Between 2010 and 2018, he shared his life between Brussels and Paris, his studies as a designer and illustration, discovered tattooing, meetings, and travels in Europe.

In 2018, he moved to Mons in Belgium where he continued to tattoo, but painting took precedence between canvases and walls over other forms to become the central form of his research.

"Based on a totally abstract form, my practice questions themes linked to humans such as mental health and transitions of psychic states. A very intimate and therapeutic research where the abysses rub shoulders with light in organic and visceral compositions cut into different layers."
